Snowing during the whole outing. The higher you went, the windier it was. Snow drifting in the trees at the lunch spot.
Snowpack
Total height of snow is 240 cm. Dug down 100 cm. New snow height is 30 cm, takes a little effort to push the probe down to the ground. This was observed just below lunch spot.
Avalanche
Steep slopes were producing loose snow avalanches
