Avalanche

East Aspect of the ridge between Loveland Pass and Loveland ski area. Elevation looked to be around 12,300 feet. A small wind slap naturally broke which appeared to triggered a persistent slab down to the ground and triggered another release a few tens of feet away. The large primary release appeared to be a R2-3 and D2. The avalanche appeared to have occurred in the early hours of 12/18/2016. The wind had not yet deposited any snow in the slide path. The crown appeared to be somewhere between 6-10' tall and maybe 500 wide by about a 1000 feet long.
