Weather
Temps in the mid-20's and light snow. Low visibility. Winds died down significantly once we left the vicinity of I70 below and at treeline.
Snowpack
Significant amount of storm slab on both south and east aspects in the 2 feet+ range. No pits were dug. We did hear a few whumpfs crossing through the open timber cut areas along the herman gulch trail.
Avalanche
Heard and witnessed a handful of natural avalanches coming down the westerly aspects of Parnassus. They seemed to be sympathetic to the bombing/mitigation work that was taking place from the loveland pass/ski area vicinity.
