Weather
Pleasant mild weather. Not too warm. Partly cloudy skies (mostly cldy earlier) with cool wind kept surfaces from warming much today. Winds up high were actually 10-15 with a few gusts in the low 20's. Temperatures remained cooler than anticipated - keeping wet-loose activity at bay.
Snowpack
Our tour remained above pass level - so observations here are for near or above treeline. All-in-all it was generally firm everywhere we were with a little dusting of new on the surfaces. Our snowpack remained nicely locked up today due to cooler temps. >Our warmest aspects were E-SE and even these remained supportive with only a shallow portion of the surface loosening up for nicer skiing. Of note on an E aspect near treeline - found weak moist grains beneath today's supportive crust. >Northerly aspects above treeline were still winter-like, consisting of stout wind slabs with hard surfaces (evidence of a slight melt-freeze crusts on some NE or NW. >Suspect southerlies below treeline were less supportive this afternoon.
