A crown profile revealed a sheltered NW shoulder comprised of a dry, cold snowpack with a variety of layers and interfaces. HS140: Upper 10cm DF from recent convective activity. From 80cm up to the new snow were RG .5-1mm 1F, mid pack was stiff at 1F-P FCxr, basal facets began at 50cm with 3-4mm 4F solid faceted particles resting on F depth hoar 4-5mm. All tests were reactive on the 4F faceted interface at 50cm: CT17Q1, ECTP26SP, PST End (15/100) SP.
