sunny, winds picking up throughout day

Snowpack

Cracking in 2-5" deep windslab at surface on east facing rib at 10,800'. Sliding on crust from last week. Skier triggered release possibly yesterday or day before. 30' across, ran maybe 20' down. R1D1 or less. This windslab was not apparent at same aspect above treeline (more wind scoured).

Avalanche

also saw natural glide avalanche towards the gunnison side of zone.
