Weather

Snowing and overcast. Warm. Wind picking up. About 5 pm.

Snowpack

Wet and relatively heavy with recent new snow on top of it and still falling.

Avalanche

We observed two wet slides in the Avy path: one was pretty big (I think) and then another smaller one followed it. We were about to cross and it just happened. Very slow moving. We were not sure if it had the capacity to kill someone, but definitely cause some injuries if you were caught while crossing. On the way back it appeared that another wet slide had occurred sometime either that day or the day after before 4pm.
