Snowpack

SNOWPACK/AVALANCHE OBS: Skied from Washington Gulch to the saddle between Snodgrass and Gothic on a variety of sun crust and soft snow in the shaded areas. Skied the first run in what I call 3.5 bowl. Boot pen 7 inches ski pen 5 inches. Quick hand sheers produced no results. Old crowns visible but are quickly filling in. The new snow sits on a faceted bed surface that seems to have bonded well with the newer snow. Second run was in the steeper skiers left of 3rd bowl. 35-38 degrees with the new snow moving on the surface. no major concerns and no other instability seen. Small wet snow releases seen in the surrounding areas on south aspects D1 or smaller.
