Increasing clouds throughout day. Overcast and S-1 snow at 2pm. Temps cooling

At treeline on E aspect found buried facet layer 30cm down 1-2mm in size. This layer was reactive in pits. CTM sudden collapse failures. This layer was also reactive in a skier triggered avalanche R2D2 on E aspect just above treeline about 11,800ft around 11am this morning.
