HS 38" No significant change in the snowpack from the last pit dug on the 14th. weak basal depth hoar, faced midpack. Cold air temperatures, new snow load intensity has been light during this past week of unsettled weather. Snowpack failure to ground still likely with an intense load of 12-16" new on storm board in a 24 hr period; with avalanches crossing the highway.
