Weather
big winds during last storm deposited snow through cross loading. The area that was skied is the windiest place in the Rim Trail area.
Snowpack
very shallow. > 80cm "Sun" crust at 5cm, and drifts varying from 1- 2and1/2 feet. Slab formed from fist to finger density. But typically fist density. I was extremely surprised because I stand atop the area during extreme danger (not on the slope that slid, but areas 22 degrees around) and it almost never slides. But i stepped on slab at the upper convexity(start of slope with cornice) and i never goes.
