Weather

Periods of intense wind transport. 4" additional HN at 1330.

Snowpack

New snow became very reactive when we reached 1" HSTW. Failures were within the new snow. First few inches fell with no wind and then winds increased rapidly mid morning. Observed failure plane was this transition.

Avalanche

Visibility was very poor, but numerous D1 slabs in the new snow were observed along the highway corridor. Several D1.5 slabs were observed on Nerly aspects below TL.
