Overcast to obscured later in the day. cool with light winds. solar heat felt less intense today

Snowpack

NW aspect near treeline 11,700' near top of carbon mountain. HS 195cm, 20150222 interface down 80cm. 20150225 interface down 20cm. CTE8 PC x2 down 20, this interface also produced easy results in hand shear tests. CTM11 SP x2 down 85, between the 02/22 and 01/11 interfaces. Fewer whumphs and collapses and shooting cracks observed compared to yesterday (02.25) in browns gulch.

Avalanche

no fresh avalanches observed. all avy activity seemed to be covered by the 8" or so fresh overnight. Most avalanches seemed to be below rollovers, on very steep slopes (above 35 degrees) or on unsupported slopes.
