Weather

Gusty winds even at road level in AM; lots of roaring in tree tops but subsided by midday. A few flurries and periods of S-1. Skies alternately broken and obscured.

Snowpack

Well-consolidated snowpack w thin persistent weak layers sandwiched between hard layers. Some 5-15 cm chalky wind slabs on surface in exposed areas.

Avalanche

Biggest, ugliest slide I've seen in Marble area this year.
