Olympic games in RMNP, NE, BTL- 9,000

Snowpack

All tests done Olympic games in RMNP, N->NE, BTL- 9,000 HS 100cm, new snow and wind packed grains sitting over a weak structure, noted depth hoar (10-20cm) at the ground snow interface. Snpx tests: 10 CT's in variety of 6 profiles within a 20meter radius, overall yielded very easy to moderate sudden collapse test results all running on the DH interface. ECTP14 down 50cm on DH interface. PST26/100 end down 50cm on the DH interface.

Avalanche

2 Large whumphs encountered on the approach to Olympic Games. We detoured around the base of Mario Gully to avoid steep terrain. We observed a NE facing test slope that released on the DH layer due to a ski cut.
