Traveled on northerly slopes NTL and BTL.--- BTL is thin and although structure is poor there is a lack of a cohesive slab. Very soft unconsolidated slab of about 6" to 8". Isolated small collapses.---NTL is a different story as the slab is thicker (8" to 14") and more cohesive. Numerous thundering collapses and shooting cracks across low angle slopes. I feel we would have been able to trigger avalanches remotely in similar but steeper terrain.
