Weather

Moderate to heavy snowfall, .75-1" per hour during trip; calm winds, air temp low to mid 20's, overcast, low visibility.

Snowpack

No pits were dug. Observed from hiking was new powder ranging 10-14" on top of firmer layers. With snowshoes, breaking through this layer was possible. No collapsing widespread collapsing was noted during hiking. Snow below most solid layer was large facets (information obtained from digging down with hand). On the northern face of Huntsman, multiple large and long cracks were observed, some spanning 80-100' below the ridge line.
