It was a clear and warm day, the warmest day so far this week.

Snowpack

All snowpack observations were below treeline. South and southeast facing slopes were highly sun affected and wet on the surface. These melt freeze crusts measured 2 to 5 cm thick. Snow depths on these slopes averaged 1.5-2.5 feet deep. North and northeast facing slopes measured 2.5 to 4 feet deep. Faceting was occurring within the snowpack, but wan't well developed at the snow pit location at 11,400'.
