Winds remained largely SE today with occasional 180 shifts that ushered in pulses of S2 precipitation during the day . Winds remained light to moderate in the teens from all stations. Skies beginning to clear at 1500 as system moves on. 3†of new since 0700 and storm total of 5â€.
Snowpack
An unreliable interface at the new/old snow level noted today on W>N>E aspects ATL, particularly NE. This reactive new snow was propagating considerable distances and was easy to trigger. This interface should be noted as it may not heal quickly. While only 5†of storm snow has fallen it has formed pillows on NE rolls that can be of significant consequence if above hazardous terrain.
