There was a fresh wind slab on easterly aspects that ranged from 1 to 3 feet thick. This slab was not reactive today with tentative ski tests. I did not feel very comfortable pushing it so stayed to lower angle...30 to 32 degrees. Very hollow sounding when tapped with skis. The fresh wind slab off a similar east aspect provided enough evidence to avoid steeper east aspect terrain, especially if it terminated in cliff areas which several areas along the SE ridge did.
