Weather
Strong winter storm picked up throughout the day starting mid-morning. Snow continues to fall as winds were moderate to strong out of the SW. High humidity with warm snow was observed.
Snowpack
Warm new snow and strong southerly winds were quickly developing surface slabs on E-N-W slopes. The new snow was not bonding well to the existing bead surface. Shallow surface slabs that likely developed last night were below the new snow and easy to trigger on a layer of buried near-surface facets. Cornices were also observed on open and exposed ridgelines.
