Weather

Very "squall-like" snowfall. Snowing throughout tour form S1-S5. Gusty winds blowing snow.

Snowpack

HS ranged from 180-230cm along ridge. Crest Bowl has seen a lot of recent skier traffic, so finding undisturbed areas for pits is getting challenging. Snow was dry in upper 80cm of snowpack, with no signss of perc columns after recent round of warm weather. Pit location is sheltered somewhat by trees, so could expect steeper, more sun-exposed slopes would show effects of recent warm weather. However, three mfc's were noted as were rounding facets and melt forms. New snow indicated it may not be bonding with recent mfc, however only 2-4 HN. Will monitor with more snow. Did not find buried surface hoar. No results from ECT or CT tests.
