Weather

Sunny and unseasonably warm.

Snowpack

The snowpack has adjusted to the load from our last storm and was overall nonreactive today. New snow was staying dry on shady north aspects. Signs of warming on southerly aspects observed near and above treeline.

Avalanche

Lots of long running loose slides due to very warm temps today (D1-2). Slides mostly initiated from steep rocky areas on NE and NW aspects (slopes that had not yet reacted to the warm-up). Sunnier slopes had largely done their thing earlier in the week...
