Another great day spent riding powder. We started at glacier crest, dug a snowpit (see snowpack tab for results) and then rode down toward The ravens. Went back up Mushrooms people, had great conditions again. It snowed all day (my guess is 8-15cm), with occasionnal break in the cloud for good visibility. There was not so much wind in the morning, but was picking up a bit in the end of afternoon. No signs of instability while breaking trail, had one easy result on a handshear test. While skiing down east or west faces, we could'nt see or feel any instability. The top of glacier crest was winded, but after 50m of descent it was only low density snow.

We dug a pit at 2050m on Glacier crest, west aspect. Slope angle was 30 deg on alpine slope. Temperature around -5 degC, not so much wind in the morning. No result on ECT. Got a sudden failure on another CT15, down 30 cm. no other results observed. The upper snowpack is low density snow, with low cohesion so we decided to ride the slope.
