Drove to the end of the road from falls Creek side to 1000m. Bushy forest approach and heinous post holding through a semi covered boulder field until we could put skins on around 1350m. Skinning was a mix of crust, icy and also powder snow. A few wind compressed spots but seems overall well consolidated. Skied from the summit down the main north line down a boulder field back to our book pack track at 1270m. Day was overcast and sometimes with flat lighting. Felt cool in the breeze in exposed areas but then definitely warmed up on the descent after 12pm. Snow turned more soft and soupy lower down.
