Windy Telkwas

Around 5cm of extensively wind affected snow well bonded to a supportive crust made for fast travel conditions up to and along the Telkwa ridgetops. A few days too late for powder turns in the nice soft snow sitting below the crust. Treeline snow depth around 2m. Below treeline the surface was crusty. We saw some evidence of previous small avalanche activity on immediate ridgetop lees, likely to have run during the storm before the warming. No recent avalanche activity, no signs of instability.
