Big Slide off Abbot

Cold and windy, evidence of a few size 2 recent slabs up towards the cleaver and wind howling with blowing snow galore, witnessed a size 3 off abbot and decided to turn around.

Large amounts of snow moving up Asulkan glacier and over sapphire col, blowing snow observed on all peaks, tree bombs galore and fresh fall.

Skinning up Asulkan witnessed size 3+ run from near the summit of Afton. Could see far enough around the corner to see how far it ran but from size and speed it would have been a long runout. See photo for powder cloud.
