Weather

A beautiful day out in the mountains, warm temperatures with light winds in the drainage bottoms. South to southwest winds were transporting snow at ridgelines onto leeward slopes.

Snowpack

We noted that most of the slopes we traveled on had a crust that formed around Christmas or shortly thereafter, but they all had facets underneath. These crusts ranged from half an inch to three inches.
