Snowpack
Digging on the northeast and north slopes, the Persistent Slab structure sill lurks, and snowpack tests continue to highlight a 1-finger rounded slab over well-developed fist hard facets. On more northeasterly slopes, tests failed at the upper end of the basal facet layer, whereas on north slopes, tests continued to fail at the ground. North slopes also seem to be faceting faster than other slopes that have a firm crust in the morning. The snowpack remains dry under the crust for now on these aspects. On the other hand, digging on a southeast slope at the same elevations, a stout crust sat over wet depth hoar and facets. Water has saturated the snow on the ground.
