Skied the S aspect after checking out the NE aspect. NE aspect had whumpfing and sluffing skinning up at 30-35 degree at treeline with wind slabs easily felt under new snow, kinda shocked with the extended column test result taken on the S aspect, that early December weak persistent layer was easy to find.

Did an extended column test, layers: 20cm, fist 34cm, fist 57cm, 4 fingers, on shovel shear uneven planer 64cm, pen resistance, on shovel shear light fracture propagated across column, tap test it fractured at 21 tap, surface hoar about 1mm 75cm, pen 94cm, pen and that was the ground
