Busy day at the burn

Lots of people skiing the Engadine burn today, with snow throughout the day giving generally good ski quality for most of the descent.

Snowed throughout the day, ranging from S1 to S3, averaging S2. Winds calm to light from the SE, gusting to moderate around 1200. Temperatures rose slightly but stayed around -5 all morning.

See attached profile photo. Upper snowpack is mostly fresh or recent snow, overlying a supportive mid pack containing a prominent but unreactive melt/freeze crust. Facets and depth hoar exist at the bottom but seem stubborn to triggering.
