Nigel Basin

Nigel Basin had some good turns, but moderate/ strong winds are currently turning powder into soft slabs. Test pit at 2250m: HS 93cm, DTH 24 down 83 on facets above the Nov. 4 crust. Basal facets don't have much striation to them yet at this location. The low elevation melt-freeze crust peters out at ~2000m. The creek crossing involved some shenanigans, and water crossings to most other regular ski areas along the parkway appear open.
