Upside Down All Around

Riding at Bijoux was tricky today with over half a metre of dense moist storm snow resting on low density facets (large, loose grained snow) that make up the bottom half of the snowpack. This recent storm snow has consolidated into a slab that was reactive in our snowpack tests. We will be sticking to small features and avoiding thick to thin spots while we further investigate how the recent storm snow is bonding to the old surface.
