Day trip to Shangri La Cabin

Avalanche Observations: - Directly observed a cornice release above vertical terrain release a size 1 wind slab on the fan below and remote triggered a second size 1 wind slab approximately 100m away on E aspect - Saw evidence of many wind slabs (up to size 2) on all aspects in alpine and treeline running to mid-runout (see photo) - Constant dry loose (approximately size 1.5) on S, SE, E aspects in alpine Weather Observations: - Consistent strong SW winds causing significant wind transport at ridge top - Sunny all day - Mild consistent temperatures
