Hector South Shoulder

Went for a nice attempt at the south shoulder - easy bushwhacking to the main drainage but with a pretty thin snowpack and a lot of vegetation to navigate. Once we made it to the drainage, we noticed some minor shooting cracks off the skin track and inconsistent sinking to the faceted layer. Dug a pit in a clearing to the right of the south drainage and had easy propagation off the faceted layer after 13 taps. Did a second test and was easily able to move the block with my hand. Had a nice day out and some great survival skiing in the lower trees!
