Crowfoot Glades

Good ski conditions and fast riding on low angle slopes. Overcast skies and on and off snowing throughout the day. Ski depth was going down 10cm but boot depth was to the ground when standing. Dug a pit in a moderate slope (20-25 degrees). Column test yielded moderate planar failure at 13 hits, 35cm down at 2173m elevation on a NW Aspect. Repeat on extended column showed no propagation at same layer. We witnessed natural avalanches, some being size 1 sluff off steep faces and off the toe of crowfoot glacier. Saw evidence of a size 2 slide on a moderately steep slope at the end of the ski day which was not there when our day started.
