Weather
Warmer than forecast, no wind, small sqalls rolled through during the day.
Snowpack
Settling storm snow formed a marginally supportive slab. Trap-door snowmobiling on Kebler and Ohio Pass roads with ~40 inches of new snow on a very weak base. We could count the collapses we initiated on one hand, but they rumbled when they occurred. A fast-driven snowmobile would trench around 2 feet deep, but would occasionally break through the storm snow to the ground. Ski penetration was around 8 to 12 inches. Foot penetration was full-depth, to the ground.
Avalanche
One tiny bank above Kebler ran mid-storm and buried the inside lane.
