We ski cut a convex roll to test the conditions and let loose a small (size 1) avalanche. Leading up to this point, we had experienced no signs of instability, but knew the recent storm snow and winds would have created a slab in this area. We made conservative choices for the rest of the day, and had a great time skiing mellow slopes in the trees.
