It was fairly cool with a breeze from the west. Clear skies this morning up there but increasing cloud cover as I drove back to Carbondale.
Avalanche
A couple of loose wet avalanches larger than size one on the destructive scale dug into old snow on northwest-facing slopes above treeline in the Independence Mountain area. These likely occurred on Sunday and Monday (5/11 and 5/12)
