We avoided alpine slopes due to the previous storm snow accumulation and stuck to mellow / steep trees on Cabin Hill outside of Brain Waddington Hut. A ski cut was tested off a convexity and a .5 size storm slab was released. Large whumpfing was reported while crossing Long Lake on the skin in (Friday, Feb 10). A second skier accidental triggered a size 1 storm slab off a convexity on Cabin Hill Left. Skier lost one ski but was not buried.

We avoided alpine slopes due to the previous storm snow accumulation and stuck to mellow / steep trees on Cabin Hill outside of Brain Waddington Hut. A ski cut was tested off a convexity on a N aspect in sparse trees and a .5 size storm slab was released. Large whumpfing was reported while crossing Long Lake on the skin in (Friday, Feb 10). A second skier accidental triggered a size 1 storm slab off a convexity on N aspect, Cabin Hill Left at approx. 1820m. Skier was swept off their feet, but not buried.
