Weather

Sunny and warm.

Snowpack

Didnt dig pits, but observed from a couple of stuck snowmobiles holes : fresh layer of snow from recent storm (~1' thick) ontop of a 3-4 inch thick crusty layer, ontop of weakermore sugary snow. Didn't inspect the slope the slide occurred on(stayed away from it) but looked wind loaded.

Avalanche

Generally speaking, a lot of sliding oberved, typically ~1' thick slabs on 30-40 degree slopes. All this activity was much smaller than the one in the picture / described above. It feels as though the "avy danger" rating might have been a touch low given what we were seeing - felt like more activity than normal. Anyways, that's all for now - hope this was helpful :)
