Weather

Beautiful sunny, warm, and light wind kinda day.

Snowpack

Variable surface conditions made for some interesting travel near and above treeline. "Chalky" with pockets of breakable slab was the common theme on steeper slopes. Lower angle slopes that are more protected from wind held a drier surface and better travel conditions. On lower elevation slopes recent warm temperatures and ample sunshine have created some firm crusts. No cracking or collapsing.

Avalanche

Small R2 D1.5 avalanche observed on Eagle nest/E-Ticket shoulder. Looked to be Human-triggered in the past 2 days. Included in Steen's ob.
