Weather: Mostly sunny, hot, 40ish degrees at 3pm.

Snowpack

Snowpack: Wet and consolidated. The 12” of powder that was previously in the field at the base of Anthracite skin track on 3/30 has now been consolidated to 3” of mashed potatoes. We did not ascend, but scouting from the field revealed no avalanche activity on northerly aspects. This is consistent with our other observations along Kebler.

Avalanche

Avalanches: Noticed several smaller East-facing point release wet avalanches on previously wind-loaded aspects that appear to have been triggered both in shallow rocky areas, as well as by trees sloughing their snow. These did not appear to be caused by cornice fall.
