A partly cloudy day with 35.9F degrees. The winds were light out of the west with little to no blowing snow.
Snowpack
Below treeline the soggy melting snow was loose and easy to penetrate. Areas that gain prolonged sun exposure were especially wet. Breakable crusts were found in previously melted surfaces that had refrozen. Near and above treeline the west winds had blown snow to deposits on east aspects. These wind drifts were soft and did not present much of an avalanche problem. The upper snowpack is becoming springlike and facet grains are rounding. The bottom 73cm of the snowpack still retains a dry texture with depth hoar at the base. No alarming stability test results ECTX.
