Weather
Clear and cold, around 12 degrees, with increasing cloud cover. Light wind, little visible evidence of transport.
Snowpack
Did not perform a full snowpack assessment. Felt a hard crust around 6 inches down, from before the most recent storm. Top six inches were uncosolidated powder and a relatively not cohesive wind slab had formed along the ridge line. Wind slab could be felt at around 13k. Cornice formation on NE aspect.
Avalanche
Triggered a small wind slab from a ski cut that broke around 4-6 inches deep, and about 8-10 feet wide at my feet. This small slab ran in steep terrain >40 degrees and entrained some of the dry loose uncosolidated snow on the surface, running farther down the path than expected. R2 D1.5 Slide was large enough to knock you off your feet but not bury you.
