Sunny warm calm day.

Snowpack

Northeast and east aspects had about a 80 -100cm of snow where it had drifted. With plenty of spatial variability. The surface was faceted on both these aspects. East aspects seem to be holding the deepest snow and firmest slabs. On South East aspects snow depth was about 50 to 75cm again with a lot of variability. The top 10-15cm of the snow was wet grains with two firmer melt freeze crusts in the top third of the snowpack. One of these had facets above it which was reactive in snow pit tests. Southerly aspects were either bare or pretty cooked wet grains of snow.
