Weather

Moderate winds today with blowing snow from the southwest. Broken skies that became scattered in the afternoon. Warm temps just above freezing at 9000'.

Snowpack

Wind transported snow dramatically changed snow surfaces today. Areas that were previously thin have now filled in with snow. It was easy to find wind slabs just under ridges that were reactive to the weight of a skier. Wind slabs ranged from 5"-8" thick. A fair amount of cracking and collapsing was observed today as well.
