Sunny, but a bit breezy. West winds helped keep snow surface cool at higher elevations.
Snowpack
Slopes below treeline had warmed by early afternoon, but near and above north through east remained frozen. Snow surfaces were a mixed bag of frozen crusts, wind-buff, and something in between. I did find some perc tubes running through the entire snowpack on a NE-facing slope near treeline. Otherwise, the snowpack and basal facets remain dry on northerlies near and above treeline in this area.
