Weather

Mostly overcast, occasionally broken skies. Calm winds with S-1 to S1 from 10:00 through 3:00pm. Skies were becoming obscured towards 3:00pm.

Snowpack

I dug one test pit facing SE (120 deg) north of Columbine's intersection with trail ridge road (10,500', near TL, ski pen 3cm, boot pen 26cm). CT16 SC and ECTP20 both @ 66cm from the ground on fist hard 2.5mm facets. ECTP24 with a sudden planar fracture @ 96cm at the top of a 1F hard layer of 0.5 facets with a P hard layer of 1mm rounding facets above.
