Avalanche
These are both on the right as you go up the Peru Creek road. In the mountains/chutes seen from the road. 1) Saw an avalanche at the top of the last chute you see before you get to Walden Gulch/Morgan pass road (rd 265). It was a small avalanche under the cornice at the top of that chute. There were ski tracks to the looker's left of the avalanche. Looked like the ski tracks went near the avalanche debris but not into it (hopefully). 2) Another avalanche on the right side of the road, just before you get into the meadow/open area where the cabin/old mine is. The road is narrow in that section and the bottom of the avalanche ends across the creek from the road there. No ski tracks. A medium sized avalanche to the right side of that chute under the cornice. The debris went down to about where the little trees are at the bottom of the chute. Sorry no pictures (and I forgot my D scale stuff I learned in avalanche class.....probably should review).
